Pediatric Dentistry

What is a pediatric dentist?

photo-shep Pediatric dentists are considered the pediatricians of dentistry. They specialize in dentistry that is devoted exclusively to children. This requires an additional two to three years of training beyond dental school. These extra years of training prepare pediatric dentists to meet the unique needs of your child.

What sets us apart?

Dr. Sittason is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, which is the only certifying Board recognized by the American Dental Association for the specialty of pediatric dentistry. This means he knows how to give your children the best care.

Pleasant visits to the dentist promote confidence and trust in your child. Our goal at Children’s Dentistry and Orthodontics of Lynchburg is to help all children feel good about their visits to the dentist. Our office provides a clean, safe and fun environment and our friendly staff strives to recognize the individual needs of every patient, helping each one to feel comfortable and secure.

In addition to providing dental services, we educate our patients and their parents on the importance of good dental hygiene. Our mascot, Captain Smiles, also visits area schools supplying toothbrushes and giving presentations on the importance of preventive dentistry. We are committed to community involvement and believe education at an early age will create good habits lasting into adulthood.
