Dr. Shepherd Sittason received his D.D.S. from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1998. He then joined the U.S. Navy and served for two overseas tours, during which he earned his AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry). Helping and working with military families strengthened his interest in pediatric dentistry and in 2004 he separated from the Navy in order to pursue his career as a specialist. He returned to school to earn his Certificate of Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in 2007 and became board certified in 2012. Though he’s lived in many places, he feels he couldn’t have chosen a better place than Lynchburg to settle and raise his two children together with his wife Jennifer.
Dr. Catherine Ventura “Dr. Cate” is a native of the Philadelphia area. She graduated cum laude and received her D.M.D. from Temple University’s Kornberg School of Dentistry in 2010. While at Temple, Dr. Cate was selected as the 2009-2010 ADA Student Research Clinician. After completing a two-year residency at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, she received her certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in 2012 and became board certified in September 2013.

Betsy Burns has been with the practice since it’s opening in November 2008. Originally from New York State, she and her family have lived in Virginia for 23 years. She enjoys all things music and spending time at the beach or on outdoor adventures.
Marian McNevin is originally from Pennsylvania, but enjoys calling Virginia home. She has two grown sons and one lovely newborn granddaughter. Marian has been with CDOL for four years. Her favorite pastime is bicycling and she enjoys traveling and finding new bike trails with her husband.
Erin Brokaw was born in North Carolina, but raised here in Virginia. She has over four years of dental experience and joined the CDOL team in the summer of 2012. Erin is married and has one son and loves doing anything outdoors.
Francesca DiGregorio “Fran” was born and raised in New York. She spent thirteen years as a Missionary to China before joining our dental team. She enjoys playing tennis, hiking and reading.
Captain Smiles joined the CDOL team in May 2013. He made his first public appearance at the Lynchburg Hillcats “Hit the Books Reading” Night and enjoyed the friendly competitions with SouthPaw. On his mission to fight tooth decay, Captain Smiles spends a lot of time at schools teaching children about good oral hygiene. We hope to see him at more venues in and around Lynchburg.
Sharanda Totty was born and raised in Manassas, VA and has worked for CDOL since 2009. In May 2012 she graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Promotion. She and her husband are expecting their first baby in April 2014.
Tiffany Romine grew up in Lynchburg and graduated from E.C. Glass High School, where she was first in her class in the dental assistant program. She has been working at CDOL since June 2011 and absolutely loves working with kids. She is a very cheerful person and can often be caught humming.
Kelly Dawson grew up in Lynchburg and graduated from E.C. Glass High School and completed the dental assistant program there. She is married with two children and has been employed at CDOL since November 2011. Kelly really enjoys working with kids.
Elizabeth Bilbo “Lizzy” is a certified dental assistant. She graduated from Boston Technical High School in Boston, Massachusetts and from the Bryman Dental Assisting School in Brookline, Massachusetts in 1992. Lizzy relocated to Lynchburg in 2002 with her husband, two sons and her cute Chihuahua. She loves working in the field of dentistry and with children and finds her job to be challenging and rewarding. Her favorite free time activities include spending time with her family, nature watching, hiking, star gazing, gardening, cooking and baking.
Crystal Bryant is a native of Lynchburg, but because she married a Navy man, she has moved a few times. She went to school for dental assisting in Virginia Beach, VA. She has a passion for working with children and for the Lord and has two children of her own.
Dr. Keith Pyle received his D.D.S. from the Medical College of Virginia in 1997. He completed a one-year AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) in 1998 with the Bureau of Naval Medicine. Dr. Pyle practiced general dentistry for four years in the U.S. Navy and four years as an associate in private practice in Lynchburg and Virginia Beach. In 2006, he returned to school and in 2008 earned his Orthodontic Specialty Certificate from The University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.

Mindy McGrath grew up in California and graduated from San Diego State University. She moved to VA in 2004 with her family and has been with CDOL since it’s opening in 2008. She enjoys watching her two daughters in their sports.
Tracy McCraw was born at Virginia Baptist Hospital and has lived in Lynchburg her entire life. With over 25 years of experience as an orthodontic assistant she makes herself readily available to junior employees who wish to learn the trade. Tracy takes pride in her work and enjoys seeing the patients smile once their braces are removed. She and her husband enjoy travelling together and love animals, especially Cocker Spaniels.
